Makenzie Morgan is a proud Nevada native who is the owner of two small businesses, tackling the world of news as she works to fulfill her dreams of being on air and showcasing that girls are capable of doing it all! She is also the co-founder of a non-profit organization called Be the Stone, spreading the message of kindness and compassion around the world. Makenzie works hard to make people feel seen, empowered and loved through signs of kindness where the community gathers and creates inspirational and positive signs to display.
Makenzie is a proud wife, dog mom and Washoe Tribe member. She enjoys traveling, baking, spending as much time as she can by the ocean, capturing and creating moments for others through photography and most importantly being around her family. The ones that have shaped her into the woman that stands tall and proud today!
Makenzie’s journey with IUM started out watching the livestream that quickly turned into taking on an appointed title this year. From the moment she became a state representative to the week of Internationals she knew that there was no place better suited for her than IUM. From the directors to the staff, girls and families there is never a moment that isn’t thought out and made to make everyone feel like the special and unique queen that they are.
Internationals week was sprinkled with competitions but it is full of memories and moments that are unforgettable. From the late night dance practices that was sure to make you laugh endlessly, waving signs of motivation in the audience, to the backstage laughs and cheering for every single woman that walked the stage. Makenzie had the most electrifying time being surrounded by the world’s most elite group of ladies that inspired and uplifted her in more ways than she will ever be able to express. International United Miss does it like nobody else, why wait to be part of the sisterhood!
Makenzie cannot wait to continue to mentor and teach the next generation about embracing who you are through leadership, inclusivity, confidence, and diversity but doing it with love and respect for all! Makenzie spent so much of her life looking to fit in, changing who she was to be liked by others. Now confident in who she is and what she offers she’s here to teach others to take back the power and never change the way God made you for anyone. You are made perfectly and individually YOU!
Fun facts about Makenzie :
In 2022 Makenzie was a backstage volunteer at Miss USA and was tasked to help R’Bonney Gabriel (Miss Universe 2022) get ready finals night.
