What is an appointed title?
An appointed title allows an eligible contestant to represent an available location at International United Miss without first competing at a live state pageant.
Once your title is confirmed, you become an official IUM delegate. You will represent your community throughout the season, prepare with the IUM sisterhood and compete at Internationals alongside delegates from across the United States and around the world.
An appointed title is not a lesser version of the IUM experience. It is simply another path to the same international stage.

When a requested state or country title is no longer available, or when a delegate has already represented that title, an eligible applicant may accept a regional or city title and compete in the appropriate National United Miss division.

Your $1,500 appointed-title fee includes far more than your place on the roster. From the crown and banner you will represent all year to pageant-week events, professional photography, family viewing and finale admission, your registration is designed to provide a complete International United Miss experience from the moment you accept your title.
A $300 initial payment is required to begin, with the remaining balance eligible for an available payment plan.

A Flexible Payment Plan:
Begin your journey with a $300 nonrefundable deposit when you apply. The remaining balance is divided into four manageable payments, giving your family time to plan while securing your title and place at Internationals.

$300 due within 30 days of application, this is what triggers the shipment of your sash/crown & welcome package.

Applications received later in the season will follow an adjusted payment schedule based on the registration date. All title fees and optional competition fees must be paid in full by June 1.

Which Division Will I Compete In?
International and National delegates compete for separate titles, but neither opportunity is lesser or greater than the other. Both receive:
The same Internationals week experience
The same required areas of competition
The same level of preparation and support
The same international stage
The same prize package if crowned
A place in the same class of reigning queens
Your application will ask for your preferred division. Final placement is based on eligibility and title availability.

Contestants generally enter the International competition by representing an available state or country title in one of seven age divisions: Princess, Junior Preteen, Preteen, Junior Teen, Teen, Miss or Ms.

The appointed-title application serves eligible contestants interested in both International United Miss and National United Miss.
