What is an appointed title?
An appointed title allows an eligible contestant to represent an available location at International United Miss without first competing at a live state pageant.
Once your title is confirmed, you become an official IUM delegate. You will represent your community throughout the season, prepare with the IUM sisterhood and compete at Internationals alongside delegates from across the United States and around the world.
An appointed title is not a lesser version of the IUM experience. It is simply another path to the same international stage.
Appointed titles are a great fit if:
Your area does not offer a live IUM state pageant
Your preferred state title has already been awarded
You discover IUM later in the season
You qualify for the National United Miss competition

Which Division Will I Compete In?
The appointed-title application serves eligible contestants interested in both International United Miss and National United Miss.

Contestants generally enter the International competition by representing an available state or country title in one of seven age divisions: Princess, Junior Preteen, Preteen, Junior Teen, Teen, Miss or Ms.

When a requested state or country title is no longer available, or when a delegate has already represented that title, an eligible applicant may accept a regional or city title and compete in the appropriate National United Miss division.
International and National delegates compete for separate titles, but neither opportunity is lesser or greater than the other. Both receive:
The same Internationals week experience
The same required areas of competition
The same level of preparation and support
The same international stage
The same prize package if crowned
A place in the same class of reigning queens
Your application will ask for your preferred division. Final placement is based on eligibility and title availability.

APPLICATION
We offer a comprehensive package for International United Miss titleholders. The total fee is $1,200 and includes:
Official Registration Fee
International United Miss Crown and Banner
International United Miss Official T-Shirt
Entry into all required competitions: Gown, Introduction, Interview, and High Fashion Runway
Delegate ticket to all themed dinner parties, each with fun gifts
Full-page Queen Ad in the International Program Book, plus a complimentary copy
Complimentary professional livestream of all events for friends and family to watch from home
Free access for the delegate to all shows and finales
Free audience admission for friends and family to all on-stage optional and required competitions
One complimentary ticket to your division’s finale (additional tickets available for $25)
Professional IUM teal photoshoot at check-in
The Competition Fee is payable as follows:
$300 Non-Refundable Deposit due when submitting the Application
$300 due within 30 days of submitting the application
$300 due by February 1st
$300 due by April 1st
$300 due by June 1st
All fees must be paid by June 1st including any optional competitions.
Please complete the form below to secure your registration as an appointed state/country representative. In the event payment of the deposit is not submitted with the application, the application will not be accepted and the registration for that title will remain open. Once the form/deposit and the first payment of $300 of the Appointed State Representative Competition Fee are received, within 4-6 weeks your Official International United Miss Crown, Banner, and T-shirt will be sent to you by the National Office.
